Shelby Putnam Tupper | Creative Directrix | graduated from Trinity College in Connecticut with a BS in biology and a minor in French. She did post-graduate work at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago, where she received honors in the field of Medical & Scientific Illustration. She grew her entrepreneurial and design legs during her tenure at Harrison Design Group of San Francisco.

Outside the office, Shelby is a faceted artisan intoxicated by pre-nineteenth-century scientific illustration and the number 1.618 (Φ). She enjoys fiddling with her golden mean calipers, tinkering with computational graphics, Voronoi diagrams and Turing patterns. She makes dimensional art from the pressroom’s recycled trimmings, designs puzzles and games for laser cutting, and fires up her torches to create wearables made from glass and steel. Shelby was born and raised in Oakland, where she lives with her husband Erich (who happens to be the firm’s Director of Buzz), and three cats, who are the interns of output.

Erich Moser Tupper | General Manager, Project Director, Technologist | choreographs processes, manages incoming and outgoing data, and coordinates projects and press work, from orchestrating the mechanics of each project to wrangling installations. He earned his BA in Social Sciences from the University of California at Berkeley where he also continued his career as a competitive gymnast. We benefit from the business discipline and technical prowess he honed during his first career with IBM and subsequent IBM business partnerships.

Extracurricularly, Erich is a snowboarder, a ‘wine-know,’ golf tinkerer, a soccer and lacrosse coach, and has a blue fish named Phred.
